IntelleCash aims to eventually transform into a Small Finance Bank.

The purpose of setting up SFB is the recognition that low income households need credit and saving services, and micro and small enterprises are significantly disadvantaged due to lack of timely and adequate access to capital. Once IntelleCash becomes a SFB, it would offer a commercially viable banking proposition for the underserved – retail (especially economically disadvantaged persons and households in the LIS) and MSME customers.

The proposed IntelleCash SFB will focus on rural and urban centres with almost 50% branches in rural unbanked centres. This along with the geographical focus on 10 Low Income States in the East, North East and Central India will position the proposed IntelleCash SFB favorably to reach out to the financially excluded.

The foundation of business model of proposed IntelleCash SFB would be laid on the strong base of its existing operating entities which consist of three main business lines to serve the three key customer segments – Low Income Households, Micro enterprises and SMEs. It will focus on leveraging best in class existing capabilities from all three business lines to design a robust and scalable platform. Some of the existing capabilities which will be leveraged are:

  • Our Current strong and well spread branch networkof 94 branches in Arohan reaching out to 1642 villages in 33 districts across 4 states in East and North– East India
  • A strong team of over 600 "Customer Service Representatives" which provides us reach to>270,000 customers (almost 50%being in rural areas) at Arohan
  • Best in class credit evaluation capabilities in IntelleGrow which involves academic rigour and have the in-built ability to identify future opportunities
  • Robust organization structure having well defined reporting mechanism to ensure clarity of roles and maintain effective control across all entities
  • Highly qualified and experienced team of senior leadership with diversified experience in banking, advisory, micro finance etc. backed with a strong board across all group entities
  • Best in class customer service and grievance handling mechanism to provide resolution to customers complaints with defined time
